Who We Are
Sonotha Transport was developed to provide flexible transportation services and expand into heavy-duty logistical solutions. Our goal is to transport minerals including coal, timber, copper, aluminum and more, as well as other dangerous, flammable or fragile goods, whether petrol, diesel or vital mining machinery.
From Extraction, Processing, Refining to Manufacturing and Retail, no matter where your business is in the production process, we guarantee professional, right-on-time collection, transportation and delivery.

- George Mahlangu – Chief Executive Officer
Mr. George Mahlangu is the Managing Director of the Sonotha Group. With extensive experience in executive finance both in the public and private sector, through his leadership we are able to develop calculated growth strategies. Graduating with B.Comm (hons), LLB and higher diploma in Corporate Law, he worked with an international courier company before bringing his expertise in finance and logistics to make Sonotha Group a force to be reckoned with.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Sonotha Group aims to effectively address social concerns, with unemployment and skill development being our top priorities. We have dedicated extensive resources to capacity building and economic empowerment of surrounding communities, providing our managers, drivers, administrative officers and general staff with:
- On-the-job training
- Relevant external courses such as client services programmes that are relevant not only to the transportation industry, but to all other business lines
- Any additional training such as corporate communication, which may be required due to changes in market trends within the transportation industry.
The aim of this training is not only to empower our team with fundamental on-the-job skills but also, to establish and nurture the skill required to constantly adapt to changes that may be necessary for the continued effectiveness of Sonotha Group’s operations.
